This Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce is made by South Devon Chilli Farm using their own homegrown chillies, combined with sugar, garlic, vinegar and a splash of fish sauce for depth. It’s their take on the classic dipping sauce, but with a few key differences. Unlike many mass-produced versions, this one has a proper chilli warmth that builds gently, rather than just delivering sweetness. The balance is sharper and more adult if you like, with real flavour coming through, not just sugar and syrupy glaze.
It’s ideal for dipping spring rolls, dumplings or prawn crackers, but also works surprisingly well as a salad dressing. Drizzle it over crisp vegetables, cold noodles or grilled prawns – its tangy-sweet heat brings brightness and bite. You can even mix it with a little lime juice or sesame oil if you want to loosen it for pouring.
