Spelt Conchiglie is made from spelt wheat. Low in gluten compared to bread wheat this white pasta will have a slightly nutty, and lovely taste. This spelt is stoneground so none of the many benefits of spelt are lost during the milling process. There are many ways to enjoy this pasta but a popular option is a pasta salad with somerset cheddar cheese, celery and fiery radish.
Using 100% British flour Pastificio Carleschi has created a truly incredible range of pasta. Whilst as the name suggests there is strong italian heritage the project was born out of a desire to combine the founder, Giovanni, italian roots with UK regenerative farmers and the best grains the UK has to offer. Slow dried at low temperatures the factory is powered by green energy and the packaging plastic free.
